The COVID-19 Daintree Area Scheme provides financial assistance to those operating from off-grid premises in the Daintree community.

About this scheme

In response to the pandemic, the COVID-19 Daintree Area Scheme aims to support the Daintree community by providing financial assistance to households, small businesses and non-profit organisations operating from off-grid premises in the area.

A map of the Daintree area can be accessed here.

Payments available under this scheme are:

  • $200 for households
  • $500 for small businesses and non-profit organisations

QRIDA administers the COVID-19 Daintree Area Scheme on behalf of the Department of Energy and Public Works.
