Dr Devraj Chalise
I am a Soil Scientist working for the software company FarmLab. My expertise revolves around sustainable agriculture; key areas being precision agriculture, agronomy and soil science. In the last 10 years, I have worked with various national and international organisations where I have developed skills in project management, preparation of project reports and providing recommendations on agricultural productivity issues.
FarmLab provides agronomy and project management software to help agronomists and farmers get more out of their soil. More recently, through the creation of our Soil Carbon Offset Report, we started tailoring our services to help educate and inform farmers on their potential to generate soil carbon credits under the Clean Energy Regulators soil carbon methodology.
FarmLab helps farmers understand the key concepts and tools to assess their likelihood of success in a soil carbon project, and dispels some of the myths and rumours around project requirements. There are many paths within the soil carbon project space and not all will be appropriate for all farmers, FarmLab will ensure all options are discussed and we will help you find a suitable Carbon Developer to continue the journey.
