  • You can apply for financial assistance under the scheme online via QRIDA's online application portal.

  • Applications must be submitted in the names of all parties to licences, operating arrangements and authorised booking entities.

In applying, each party needs to sign a payment instruction form, nominating one bank account where all approved assistance will be deposited.

  • Yes, you may be eligible to receive financial assistance in more than one category.

Please refer to the COVID-19 Taxi and Limousine Industry Assistance Scheme Guidelines for full details of eligibility requirements for each category.

  • The 2019-20 quarter three data reports are used to assess eligibility. Authorised booking entities are required to have provided their reports on, or before 16 June 2020.

If you have not yet submitted your report, you will only be eligible for the payment if TMR accepts the information provided in a late submission, including any further supporting evidence that may be requested. As a first step you will need to send it to TMR at PT_Data_Reporting@tmr.qld.gov.au

  • If two operators equally share the cost of operating the licence under a written agreement, they could each be eligible.

In this case, the payment would be divided equally between the two parties. Each party would need to apply separately and provide evidence to demonstrate their eligibility.

  • To be eligible for an operator payment, you must be listed as the ultimate lessee in the TMR’s register.

If you have not notified TMR of the leasing arrangements, or if TMR's record of your lease was not up to date on 16 June 2020, contact your local Passenger Transport Office (PTO) to update the record of your leasing arrangements.

Any evidence you provide with your application regarding the circumstances of the lease will be reviewed before determining whether you are eligible for assistance.

  • Yes, QRIDA’s online application form accommodates all categories of the scheme and you should submit only one application. The online form will guide you through the process of applying.

If however, the categories to which you are a party are in different names you should submit separate applications.

  • The categories are:

    • taxi and limousine operators (including wheelchair accessible taxi operators)
    • taxi and limousine licence holders
    • authorised booking entities that provide booking services predominantly for taxis or limousines.

Please refer to the Scheme Guidelines for full details of eligibility requirements under each category.
